This month, we had the privilege of joining some of the country’s top advocates, care providers, and reproductive justice warriors for the National Menstrual Health Awareness Month Congressional Briefing. It was an energizing and inspiring day dedicated to advancing the conversation around menstrual health and equity.

We heard from leaders in the field who are pushing for stronger policies and greater awareness about menstrual health challenges that too often go undiscussed and underfunded. Their expertise underscored just how critical it is to continue breaking down stigmas and ensuring that menstrual health is treated as the public health issue it is.

We were also able to connect with fellow organizations doing incredible work in the menstrual equity space. From grassroots advocates to medical professionals and nonprofit leaders, the room was filled with people committed to making sure that everyone has access to the products, care, and dignity they deserve.

The event gave us the chance to see both old friends and new faces—proof of the growing, interconnected community working to advance menstrual health nationwide. Each interaction reaffirmed that while no single organization can tackle these systemic issues alone, together we are driving real change.

Leaving Capitol Hill, we felt more motivated than ever to keep pushing forward. We are grateful to The Fibroid Foundation for hosting the briefing and for creating a space where menstrual health is recognized as a vital part of public health and justice.
