Knowledge Is Power. Everyone Deserves Access.
At I Support the Girls, our mission has always been about dignity. Over the past decade, we’ve distributed millions of essential items to people in need. Along the way, we’ve learned something equally important: access to information matters just as much as access to products.
Through countless conversations with recipients, social workers, educators, volunteers, and funders, one theme emerges repeatedly. There is an overwhelming amount of information available online, yet many people still feel unsure about what questions to ask, where to look, or whether it’s safe to ask at all.
That’s where the ISTG Survival Guide comes in.
What Is the Survival Guide?
The Survival Guide is a new online educational program designed to provide transparent, approachable, and trustworthy information about topics that are often overlooked, under-taught, or considered “too awkward” to discuss.
It addresses both everyday questions and major life moments across all life phases. From first periods to last periods, from personal care basics to navigating adulthood. The goal is simple: reduce stress, increase confidence, and empower people to make informed decisions about their bodies and their lives.
Each topic is designed to be practical, inclusive, and judgment-free.
Why It Matters
Having accurate, accessible information leads to less stress, better health outcomes, and stronger decision-making. The Survival Guide allows ISTG to expand our impact beyond product distribution, supporting not only those who need donations but also the broader community seeking knowledge, reassurance, and empowerment.
Because dignity doesn’t stop at products; it includes knowledge, confidence, and community.
