I Support The Girls Germany was first established in Heidelberg in 2020 as a student-led initiative called Women for Lesvos, with the aim of sending donations of period products to the overcrowded refugee camps at the EU external borders. That same year, the initiative became the first European affiliate of ISTG and has since donated to communities in Germany, Greece, Lebanon, and Poland. The team is sticking to its grass-roots activist origins by keeping the collective small and concentrated, and is proud to be a network of nine local and remote volunteers.
