I Support the Girls- Fredericksburg’s first donation drive was in August 2022 and it formerly launched in March 2023 to celebrate Women’s History Month. Running solely on volunteers and donations from the community, ISTG-FXBG collects new and gently used bras, menstrual products and women’s underwear. These donations are then distributed to organizations and schools in the greater Fredericksburg area.
Our programs:
Period Project: Established in many local schools, the Period Project provides cosmetic bags of menstrual products in classrooms so that students have immediate access during school to limit missed instructional time.
Women’s History Month: Celebrated with donation drives and fundraisers at local businesses.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month: A community organization is selected for a bra-fitting event where participants receive their true bra size and receive new bras from ISTG-FXBG.
Bra library: New bras are collected and catalogued in our bra library for bra-fitting events so that women and folx can receive new, well-fitting bras.

"I Support the Girls has been a light of inspiration to our girls at James Monroe High School. This school year alone, ISTG-FXBG has provided our students with hundreds of products ranging from new bras, feminine hygiene products, to skincare/makeup products.
