Delaware as an affiliate is new for 2023! Started by Linda Willimer, former Affiliate Director of I Support the Girls – Central/South New Jersey we will initially be serving southern Delaware and northern Maryland, then moving into northern Delaware by the summer. Linda started ISTG CSNJ over five years ago, as a new affiliate, building her team up to six Associate Affiliates, donating a total of 765,000 products to over 20 organizations. In 2019 Linda was awarded the BRAvo award, for Overall Outstanding Affiliate Award in recognition of her extensive dedication and commitment to supporting, uplifting and empowering women.

We are currently looking for organizations to work with and donate to.

Our most important need at the moment is new premises for donation storage and collection. We are also looking for volunteers to hold donation drives, assist with sorting, packing and distributing donations.

We will be visiting clubs, communities, schools and public events to share what ISTG do and how those folx can get involved. Plus work with other organizations like school clubs and girl/boy scout troops.

Local Impact

While only having been associated with I Support The Girls Delaware for a short time, our organization, the Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc., has benefited greatly. Our young mothers and mothers to-be have received underwear, tampons and pads as well as other needed toiletries. ISTG hosted a bra party at our Sussex County location, offering to measure our students while giving out brand new bras. The students each left with a goodie bag full of cosmetics as well. ISTG is very much a welcome addition to Delaware.

This organization has given back to our women of all ages a sense of personal confidence and dignity. It has also reduced the amount of stress and worry our younger moms have with availability of pads and tampons. Some mom's don't have enough money for food and heaven's knows what they do to keep themselves fresh and clean. Thank you for the opportunity to make their lives a little more easier.
